Eye meets ear at the intersection of art and music, with compositions inspired by line drawings and paintings by Pablo Picasso, intense color canvases by Robert Motherwell, stained glass by Frank Lloyd Wright, and ancient ceramics and statuary by the Incas. New York Premiere by Karim Al-Zand, plus works by Viet Cuong, Gabriela Lena Frank, Robert Sirota, and Pulitzer Prize-winner Andrew Norman, all performed by Music from Copland House.
Hailed as “bold,” “adventurous,” and “superb” (The New Yorker), MUSIC FROM COPLAND HOUSE, the only American repertory ensemble journeying across 150 years of the U.S. musical landscape, performs at Tanglewood, the Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, Library of Congress, and many other major venues; appears on CBS Sunday Morning, NPR, Euro-Radio, and Sirius; and records on the Koch, Arabesque, and Copland House Blend labels.
The concert starts at 4 pm and lasts an hour.

COPLAND HOUSE is dedicated to nurturing and renewing America’s musical heritage, and to fostering greater public awareness and appreciation of our nation’s composers and their work. Building upon Aaron Copland’s seminal artistic and personal legacies, we further this mission through composer residencies; live, broadcast, and recorded performances; and educational and community outreach programs.
