When you join the Friends of Lyndhurst, you become a member of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, our country’s not-for-profit preservation organization.
To date, contributions to the Friends of Lyndhurst have funded many important preservation projects in the mansion and on the property including:
- Restoration of faux marble walls in the Entrance Hall
- Purchase and preservation of furnishings, including the Gould piano in the Reception Room
- Restoration of the Lily Fountain in the Greenhouse
- Care and maintenance of the magnificent copper beech trees
- Purchase of lanterns for the Carriage House
- Reproduction of the William Paulding portrait
- Restoration of the Bowling Alley exterior staircase.
