Programs at Lyndhurst

Every weekend, Lyndhurst hosts a series of events that will give you another reason to revisit this breathtaking estate. During our open season, which runs from May 1st through Halloween and from Thanksgiving through New Year’s, we host multiple activities. Click on each category to get more information or view our calendar to see what’s happening next.

Our Music in the Mansion series, hosted in conjunction with the Copland House, performs music from the American canon performed throughout the house. A champagne reception with the performers follows each concert.  Click here for concert listings.

Our resident theater company, M&M Productions, performs in our carriage house during the summer and in the mansion for both Halloween and Christmas. Summer productions are light comedies. During the Christmas season, M&M re-enacts Charles Dickens reading from his classic work, “A Christmas Carol.”  Click here for theater listings.

Each season, Lyndhurst mounts exhibitions of painting, clothing and decorative arts throughout the mansion and on parts of the estate. Lyndhurst has an important collection of over 10,000 objects. While many are on view in the mansion, others are rotated onto view during special exhibitions viewable at the end of regularly scheduled tours. Click here for exhibits.

Each month, Lyndhurst hosts distinguished academics who speak on topics relating to the art and architecture at Lyndhurst and to the Hudson Valley and 19th century culture. Many of our lectures are free to the public. Click here for lectures.
