Seated on sixty-seven acres overlooking the gorgeous Hudson River, Lyndhurst is an unforgettable venue for weddings, receptions, dinner parties, and celebrations only thirty-five minutes from New York City. Ceremonies can be held on Lyndhurst’s sweeping great lawn with the picturesque backdrop of the fairy-tale mansion and river views. Ceremonies may also be held in the fragrant Rose Garden with its pergola draped in roses. The Carriage House features a semi-permanent tent which hosts up to 220 guests for receptions, dinner, and dancing, and may be expanded to accommodate more.
More intimate wedding parties can be hosted inside the mansion in the spectacular Grand Picture Gallery or parlor at a higher site usage fee.
We are partnered with a carefully selected catering group, Philip Stone Caterers at Lyndhurst, who offer expertly crafted menus ranging from American to South Asian cuisine as well as certified Kof-K Kosher menus.

Wedding and Event Photography
Whether your wedding or family celebration is being held here or elsewhere, Lyndhurst’s grounds are perfect for wedding and celebration photographs. Lyndhurst offers a variety of breathtaking backdrops, like the stunning Gothic castle, sweeping lawns, or majestic trees so large that photographs can be taken under their leafy canopies. Our staff can assist you in finding just the right place for your photographs.
Our fees are based on the size of your party and expected length of session, starting at $350 for the first hour and $300 for any additional hours, plus $30 per hour for staffing depending on the size of the wedding party. The fee is prepaid and an email receipt is sent to you for presentation at the gate on the day of the shoot.
