Winter Grounds PassesFor groups of over 10 people: please email our box office: Lyndhurst@savingplaces.org before purchasing grounds passes to receive detailed information on parking, picnic locations, and site protocol.

A Daily Grounds Pass is required for entrance to Lyndhurst and offers general admission to the property between the hours of 9:30 am with the last entry at 4:30 pm as the property closes at 5:00 pm. This pass allows visitors access to the grounds; it does NOT provide access to the Mansion, which is only available by guided tour. A Grounds Pass includes entry to the Welcome Center, Giftshop, Exhibit Gallery, and Restrooms when the property is open for tours. Restrooms are available at the Bowling Alley when the Welcome Center is closed.
Please note the entire site occasionally closes for special events with no grounds access during those times. During our wedding season, May – October, certain areas of the grounds and buildings may be inaccessible in the afternoons.
If you wish to visit the mansion please select one of our Mansion tours: Classic Mansion Tour, Inside-Outside Tour, or Upstairs-Downstairs Tour.
Lyndhurst members can enjoy the grounds for free! All members must register their visit HERE.
- A Grounds Pass is valid only for the day you visit the grounds, rain or shine, and is not refundable.
- Entry to the Mansion is not included with a Grounds Pass.
- Mansion ticket holders are not required to purchase a Grounds Pass.
- Lyndhurst is a smoke/vape-free property.
- Evening Event ticket holders (Jazz, Theater, Lyndhurst After Dark, etc.) who wish to visit the grounds during the day must purchase a separate Grounds Pass.
- A Grounds Pass is not a permit for portrait/special event photography. Please read our photography guidelines HERE.
- Please have your pre-purchased ticket available and ready on your mobile phone so you can show it to the gate attendant upon arrival.
- Picnicking is allowed, please carry out what you carry in. Tents, lawn furniture, open flame, or BBQs are not permitted. No alcohol!

- Please leash your dogs while on the grounds.
- Drone use on the grounds is strictly prohibited.
- Entry to the grounds is at your own risk, the property owner is not liable for injuries or illnesses that occur while visiting.
- Welcome Center restrooms will be available on tour days, 9:30 am to 4:30 pm.
- After November 4th, a Winter Grounds Pass is required to enter the property between 9:30 am and 4:30 pm.
- Passes are non-transferable.

Tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. For all ticketing questions and issues, please call Lyndhurst, not our ticketing provider, ShowClix.
Tour ticket holders do not need to purchase a Daily Grounds Pass for the day of their tour.

Landscape Hours
Lyndhurst grounds are open seasonally from April to December seven days a week: 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM with the last entry at 4:30 PM.
Entrance to the grounds after November 4th requires the purchase of a Winter Grounds Pass.
Please check our calendar for closures before coming to visit the grounds.

Family and Accessibility
Lyndhurst welcomes all visitors and we have ADA-accessible parking and paths on our lower landscape.
Picnicking is allowed but we ask that you carry out what you carry in.
Please keep dogs leashed and clean up after them while visiting.
Please park in designated parking areas only and not on our lawns or in front of the Mansion.
Special Event Photography (engagement, wedding, family, graduation, baby, etc.) is prohibited on our grounds.
Drone use is strictly prohibited.
Alcohol is not permitted.
