Rock Garden Talk 2025
Saturday, April 12th, 2025
Tickets will go on sale soon!
Don Dembowski is the Chair of the Hudson Valley Chapter of the North American Rock Garden Society. He selflessly donates his time to help maintain these rock gardens. Join Dembowski as he discusses the beautiful Lyndhurst Rock Gardens and the plants that grow there. Learn about the specific varietals that grow in these special gardens. Among the perennials in the rock gardens, a number of plants are especially long-lasting, called geophytes. These plants have underground structures-corm, tuber, or rhizome which contribute to their longevity, despite the vagaries of weather. Some of these special plants to be discussed include Trillium, Anemonella, Jack in the pulpit, and species Peonies. The talk will include tips on growing and propagating these fascinating plants.
The talk will take place in the Welcome Center.
Mansion entry is not included with this ticket, but access to the grounds is included!
