Lyndhurst After Dark
Please read our COVID Visitor Requirements before purchasing tickets.
You’ve experienced the splendor of the Mansion during the day, but have you seen it draped in candlelight?
New for this Halloween Season, come and experience the history of the Mansion and explore Victorian lore in the glow of an October evening; Lyndhurst After Dark! Timed entry into the Mansion allows visitors to walk through the house as it is decorated in the spirit of the season, with special collections and items on display relating to the superstitions of the age.
This is not a theater performance, as we have retired Jay Ghoul’s House of Curiosities, but a semi-guided tour through the Mansion in the evening hours, that will discuss the slightly darker side of history through those who lived at Lyndhurst. Visitors will get a chance to experience the architecture, decor, and collection items on display while listening to our talented staff regale about the traditions of the past.
Not be suitable for children under 6 years of age.
Refreshments will be available for purchase on-site from Geordanes of Irvington.
Snack items; Orange and black cookies and cider doughnuts. Hot and cold beverages; coffee, hot and cold cider.
As New York State continues to evaluate pandemic-related restrictions, Lyndhurst requires all visitors to provide proof of full Covid vaccination (14 days after the final shot) and continue to wear masks indoors at this time as a courtesy to fellow visitors and staff. Guests who are not vaccinated and children aged 2-11 who wish to join an indoor tour must provide proof of a negative COVID PCR test administered no sooner than 72 hrs. We will continue to evaluate these policies and make changes in the future, as appropriate.
All visitors must have a pre-purchased ticket to enter the Mansion. A limited number of tickets are available for each timed event and tickets do sell out.
Please present printed tickets or have them available on your smartphone to show to Welcome Center staff when checking in for your timed event.
