Rose Tea Experience

The Rose Tea Experience will be offered on Saturday, June 8th at 10am and 1pm and Sunday, June 9, from 1 pm to 3 pm,  in the Blue Cottage.

Step into the charmingly appointed parlor and experience this favored and treasured event as British high society did in the early 19th century and was later adopted in many regions of the world. The Rose Afternoon Tea guests will experience a cream tea, which encompasses tea, scones, clotted cream, and jam.

Intended as an engaging and social occasion, the Rose Afternoon Tea is presented by Bridget Bray, a creator of boutique experiences. She will share the origins, traditions, and etiquette of the long-favored British afternoon tea service and include several tea blends from her Puddings and Biscakes tea line, now available in the Lyndhurst Mansion Gift Shop!

This tea experience will begin at the Welcome Center and will walk up to the historic mansion where a shortened tour will be given focusing on the Dining Room and the Kitchen. In the Kitchen, the group will be the first to experience the newly created display of the chinaware from Lyndhurst’s collection.
