Sunset Soirée at The Overlook

After years of planning, building, and planting, the Paula Hayes Garden at The Overlook is finally ready to enjoy, in all of its whimsical, native glory. Join us for a Sunset Soirée at Lyndhurst’s newest landscape feature and experience the estate in a new way with an evening of live music, food, and beautiful scenery.

Contemporary artist Paula Hayes has designed five original sculpture works for her native pollinator garden; modern interpretations of Victorian garden elements that were once part of our historic landscape. When the sun sets, the gazing orbs illuminate the garden, creating a magical atmosphere overlooking the Hudson River and backdropped by our Gothic Revival mansion.

The Kat Gang Band will be on The Overlook performing jazz, bossa nova, and bebop while guests enjoy hors d’oeuvres and drinks. Guests will also receive a Paula Hayes garden-themed gift.

This event is rain or shine. The soirée will move up to the covered Veranda of the Mansion should there be inclement weather.
