Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream

This summer, M&M Performing Arts brings William Shakespeare’s most famous romantic comedy to open-air theater in the Palm Court of the Greenhouse at Lyndhurst set in the groovy 1960’s.  A Midsummer Night’s Dream will be performed alfresco under the stunning metal skeleton of the Lord & Burnham 1880s gothic greenhouse. You can catch some rays and enjoy the flower power of young lovers falling comically in and out of love and a blundering troupe of squares under the spell of far out fairies in a forest over the course of a outa sight night. Can you dig it?

Performances, July 9th through the 26th at 7:00 pm. Performances are 90 minutes without an intermission and appropriate for ages 8 and up. At 7:00 pm, the audience will gather in front of the greenhouse and proceed to the Palm Court, where seating will be provided. A tent will be used for inclement weather; the performances are rain or shine.

Picnicking is an important part of the outdoor summer theater experience!  Your ticket includes early access starting at 5:30 pm to a specified picnic area adjacent to the greenhouse. You are welcome to bring low-profile tables and chairs, a blanket, and an umbrella for shade.  Please clear your dinner area as you exit, as picnicking is carry-in, carry-out. Tents, open flame, and BBQs are not permitted.
