The Mystery…

For over a hundred years a mystery has shrouded Lyndhurst: an expected shipment to the estate – a tea chest – seemingly vanished into thin air.
Rumors long circulated it was a gift of great worth, some speculating from nobility, with whispers, that its disappearance was the workings of a rogue member of the estate’s household.
Through the annals of time though this mystery soon receded in importance and memory  – until a small parcel arrived at Lyndhurst this summer.
The parcel contained an array of items, including newspaper clippings, ledgers, and more – with a note seeking help to solve this puzzle. An idea was borne – to invite those of curious minds and enthusiasts of the era  – to join in solving this Victorian gothic mystery! Please join us!
The ticket includes the Victorian Gothic Mystery over Tea experience (held in the Carriage House), visits to the mansion for a self-guided tour, and grounds admission.

Check-in at the Welcome Center 15 minutes before the time on your ticket.
All ticket purchases are non-refundable.
