Lyndhurst welcomes all visitors for a “Free Day-at-Lyndhurst”.

Visitors must register in advance as no tour without prior registration is allowed. Once the tours are filled, they are filled. No walk-ins will be accepted on the tours.
Please plan and book early as Lyndhurst anticipates higher attendance on this day and the potential to reach capacity on the property.
Free-Day-at-Lyndhurst is only good for Sunday, May 19, 2024.
- Registration is non-transferable.
- Please have your registration ticket available printed or on mobile to show the gate attendant upon arrival.
- Select the mobile option when purchasing your ticket to have it ready on your mobile phone!
- You may arrive early to enjoy the property before your timed entry into the mansion starting at 9 am.
- Visit our historic Bowling Alley between 11 am and 5 pm.
- Picnicking is allowed, we ask that you carry out what you carry in. No alcohol, outdoor furniture, or large groups!
- Dogs must be leashed while on the grounds.
- Drone use on the grounds is strictly prohibited.
- Welcome Center restrooms and the Gift Shop will be open between 9:30 am and 4:30 pm.
Lyndhurst welcomes all visitors, but please be advised that advanced registration is required, you may be turned away if capacity is reached.
Grounds Passes are not necessary if you are already registered for a tour.

Grounds are open: 9:30 AM – 5 PM.
The last entry is at 4:00 PM.
Family and Accessibility
Lyndhurst welcomes all visitors, and we have ADA-accessible parking and paths on our lower landscape.
Picnicking is allowed but we ask that you carry out what you carry in.
Please keep dogs leashed and clean up after them while visiting.
Please park in designated parking areas only and not on our lawns or in front of the Mansion.
Special Event Photography (engagement, wedding, family, graduation, baby, etc.) is not allowed on our grounds.
Drone use is strictly prohibited.
Alcohol is not permitted.
