Please register via the link prior to your arrival and please have your Membership Card available to show our Gate Staff upon arrival.

Lyndhurst Members and National Trust for Historic Preservation Members get free access to our grounds!
Members are allowed to bring a certain number of guests based on their membership level. Read more about that here.
A Grounds Pass offers general admission to the property between the hours of 9:30 am with the last entry at 4 pm as the property closes at 5 pm. Members visiting our grounds must only come during business hours. Member Passes do not include mansion access.

  • A Grounds Pass is necessary for those entering the property via the front entry.
  • Please have your membership card available to show the gate attendant upon arrival.
  • Picnicking is allowed, we ask that you carry out what you carry in.
  • Not permitted: Tents, lawn furniture, open flame, BBQs, smoking/vaping, and alcohol. Special Event photography and drone use is strictly prohibited.
  • The Bowling Alley restrooms are open daily from 9 am-5 pm. Welcome Center restrooms will be open on the days we are open for tours.
  • Bee Aware- Active Pollinator Hives on the property.
  • Entry to the grounds is at your own risk, the property owner is not liable for injuries or illnesses that occur while visiting.

The last entry to Lyndhurst grounds is 4:00 PM. Grounds closed at 5:00 pm!
The Lyndhurst grounds are open for the season from April 1st – December 27th, 2026.

Lyndhurst welcomes all visitors and we have ADA-accessible parking and paths on our lower landscape.

Please park in designated parking areas only and not on our lawns or in front of the Mansion.
