Westchester County’s Deputy County Executive Kenneth Jenkins is the first African-American to hold this position. In addition to longtime service as a Westchester County Legislator, Jenkins was the president of the Yonkers chapter of the NAACP and chairman of the Yonkers Democratic Committee.
