The Fall Classic Mansion Tour is perfect for first-time guests. This one-hour guided tour covers the first two floors of the mansion, providing visitors with a rare glimpse of the lavish decorative arts and furniture that remains from the three owners of Lyndhurst. Enjoy the splendor of the Fall Season while viewing additional collection pieces and extra interior decor highlighting Autumn!
The tour, which lasts an hour, visits approximately 16 rooms and involves climbing one staircase. You’ll visit the first floor of the Mansion; including the parlor, filled with furniture designed by architect A.J. Davis, and the sumptuous Civil War-era dining room. The second floor centers around the opulent Grand Picture Gallery hung with an original collection of European paintings. Impressive Tiffany stained glass windows adorn the gallery and adjacent bedrooms.

Please be advised that this tour requires long periods of standing and flights of stairs.
A limited number of tickets are available for each event, and events do sell out.
Some tickets may be available for purchase on-site, but these are not guaranteed.
Please arrive 15 minutes before the entry time on your ticket. If you are late, we will do our best to accommodate you, but we cannot guarantee it.
All ticket purchases are non-refundable.
A Grounds Pass is not needed if you already have a Tour or Event Ticket.
Not recommended for children under 6 years of age.
No large bags, backpacks or strollers allowed in the mansion.

Tour Schedule
Tours begin every half hour starting at 10:00 AM.
Thursday – Tuesday: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM (last entry), September 25th through November 2nd, 2025
All tour tickets must be purchased online, in advance as space is limited.

Lyndhurst welcomes all visitors, but please note that this tour requires the ability to stand for approximately one hour and climb stairs to the second floor of the mansion.
The tour visits two floors of the mansion and only the first floor of the mansion is handicap accessible.
There is no elevator in this historic building.
Not recommended for children under 6 years of age.
Plan Your Trip
The guided tour will start at the Welcome Center, the brick complex located just past Lyndhurst mansion, where visitors can check-in and watch a short orientation video. No large bags or backpacks will be permitted inside the mansion. Plan to arrive at the Welcome Center 15 minutes prior to your tour to allow yourself time to check-in and use the restroom.
